Chiropractor in Brisbane: What to Expect at Balance Chiropractic Kenmore
Brisbane has no shortage of chiropractors, and working out where to go is usually the hardest part. This page covers the practical side of it: where we are, how appointments work, what a first visit involves, and what it costs, so you can decide whether we are the right fit before you pick up the phone.
Where we are in Brisbane
Balance Chiropractic is on Moggill Road in Kenmore, about fifteen minutes from the city on the western side. There is parking directly out front, and we are on the main bus route through to the city and Indooroopilly.

Suburbs we see patients from
Most of our patients come from the western suburbs and the surrounding pockets. We have information for each area here:
Chapel Hill
Kenmore Hills
Indooroopilly
Brookfield
Fig Tree Pocket
Pullenvale
Bellbowrie
Moggill
Chelmer
Graceville
If your suburb is not on the list you are still very welcome. Plenty of people travel across from Toowong, Taringa, St Lucia and Sherwood.
What happens at your first appointment
The first visit is a longer appointment, and most of it is spent working out what is going on rather than treating.
History. A conversation about what brought you in, how long it has been going on, what you have already tried, your work setup, sleep, activity and general health.
Assessment. A physical and postural assessment, along with orthopaedic and neurological testing where it is relevant.
Imaging. If imaging is needed, we can take it on site rather than sending you elsewhere and asking you to come back another day.
Appointment times
We hold same day appointments most days, including Saturdays. If you are working full time or juggling school pick ups, mention it when you book and we will find something that fits rather than making you take a morning off.
New patient offer
New patients can book a $49 two visit start. That covers the full initial consultation and history, the postural assessment, any imaging needed on site, and treatment.
Questions worth asking any Brisbane chiropractor
Whether you come to us or not, these are fair questions to ask before you book anywhere:
What does the first appointment involve, and how long does it go for?
Will I know the cost of ongoing care before I commit to anything?
Do you take imaging on site, or do I need to go elsewhere?
How do you decide when care is finished?
Do you communicate with my GP if I would like you to?
What happens if chiropractic is not the right approach for me?
A clinic should be comfortable answering all of those over the phone before you book.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor in Brisbane? No. Chiropractors are primary contact practitioners in Australia, so you can book directly. Referrals are only required for funded arrangements such as DVA or a chronic disease management plan through your GP.
Can I claim on private health? Yes, if you hold extras cover that includes chiropractic. We have HICAPS on site so you can claim on the spot and pay the difference.
Do you see children and older patients? Yes. Care is adjusted to suit the person in front of us, and we will talk you through what that looks like at the assessment.
Do you offer DVA appointments? Yes, for eligible Gold and White Card holders with a current referral.
How do I book? Call (07) 3132 9399 or book online. If you are not sure whether we can help, ring and ask. We would rather have the conversation first.
